Activate Kids

Activate Kids Fitness is a fun strength and conditioning program specifically designed for children ages 5-10 years old. Our goal is to help children develop a lifelong love of fitness by using workouts that are fun and engaging. Activate Kids implements exercises with the children’s developmental needs in mind. These workouts consist of varied, functional movements that can be scaled to meet the physical abilities of each individual and level. Our Activate Kids program provides children with a broad understanding of fitness.

What Will My Kids Be Doing?

Activate Kids Fitness consist of workouts that are designed using constantly varied, functional movements. This means that no two workouts are the same, preventing children from getting bored with exercise. The novelty of each workout is sure to keep them excited and engaged.

Functional movements children typically depend on to play, such as pulling, pushing, running, throwing, climbing, lifting, and jumping, are safely taught and implemented under the close supervision of our trainers.

When fitness is defined as broad, it means that the participants can expect to do well in multiple areas, and become well-rounded athletes who excel in every sport as Activate Kids teaches multiple skills.

Our Activate Kids fitness workouts will increase physical competence in 10 fitness domains:
-Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance
-Stamina
-Strength
-Flexibility
-Power
-Speed
-Coordination
-Agility
-Balance

With workouts that are scalable, Activate Kids Classes can benefit both a less experienced athlete as well as an accomplished athlete equally. Scaling movements within a workout ensures that each individual is challenged enough to deliver measurable results and personal athletic progress.

Activate Kids aims to prevent childhood obesity by developing a positive association with exercise good nutrition. This class provides the foundation for a lifetime of healthy eating by focusing on the importance of good nutrition and it relates to physical activity. While workouts are fun, they are both physically and mentally demanding. These demands foster self-confidence, discipline, persistence, problem solving, and integrity.

Safety

It is important that children start slow. We want the kids to work hard, but we never demand that they work harder or faster during a workout. The quality of the movements performed are always more important than how quickly they perform them. Children should not be sore to the point they are experiencing pain.

It is our long-standing experience that when children move well consistently over time, they will begin to move faster safely.
